He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: But whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.
He that getteth wisdom loveth his own soul: He that keepeth understanding shall find good.
The father of the righteous shall greatly rejoice: And he that begetteth a wise child shall have joy of him.
Only by pride cometh contention: But with the well advised is wisdom.
Pleasant words are as an honeycomb, Sweet to the soul, and health to the bones.
Hope deferred maketh the heart sick: But when the desire cometh, it is a tree of life.
When pride cometh, then cometh shame: But with the lowly is wisdom.
The lips of the righteous know what is acceptable: But the mouth of the wicked speaketh frowardness.
As in water face answereth to face, So the heart of man to man.
My son, despise not the chastening of the LORD ; Neither be weary of his correction: For whom the LORD loveth he correcteth; Even as a father the son in whom he delighteth.
Labour not to be rich: Cease from thine own wisdom.

Get wisdom, get understanding: Forget it not; neither decline from the words of my mouth.
My son, attend to my words; Incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes; Keep them in the midst of thine heart.
Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: But a woman that feareth the LORD , she shall be praised.
A friend loveth at all times, And a brother is born for adversity.
My son, keep thy father's commandment, And forsake not the law of thy mother:
He that hath no rule over his own spirit Is like a city that is broken down, and without walls.
Can one go upon hot coals, And his feet not be burned?
So shall the knowledge of wisdom be unto thy soul: When thou hast found it , then there shall be a reward, And thy expectation shall not be cut off.
Open thy mouth, judge righteously, And plead the cause of the poor and needy.
